Awesome vid, but they cut off the ending...?
EDIT: BTW, that's the first track I raced at. I lived about 15 minutes away in Clinton, IA when I was in high school

I can see why it never caught on. IMO, it's a pretty lame format. Who the hell is going to want to hurt their car on purpose? Maybe the rich? I sure the hell wouldn't take my car out there and do the stuff they were doing, how ridiculous, IMO. 3 burn outs in a row, that will be putting a hurting on all the running gear, not just the engine, did I say how lame this seems to be, or am I not getting it? Now if i was still 16 and in the parking lot of Safeway, it would seem to be a good idea, lol.
