How can you test a wet system that has a fpss and a wot switch to make sure its working properly?
Disconnect the hose that goes from the nitrous solenoid "out" to the injection nozzle. This way you're not injecting nitrous into your system. Arm your system, put the key into the "on" position (don't start the car), and press the WOT switch. It will *not* be a constant flow, but you should see nitrous shoot out for a split second, and then the system will shut off, because of your FPSS.
Unarm the system, turn the key back off, turn the key back to "on", arm the system, and hit the WOT switch again. You should see just another little shot of nitrous come out of your nitrous solenoid. If that's the case, then you know your nitrous solenoid works.
This is just a quick way to tell 2 things, first that your Nitrous solenoid works, and second to tell if your FPSS is correctly installed.
Another way to tell is just to bypass the FPSS. take off one of the wires on the FPSS and find a way to keep it attached to the other one...now it's a direct connection and misses the FPSS...
Please let us know if that helps. There are other ways to tell, this is just a few quick easy way i know of off the top of my head.

Well the purge works. This may sound stupid but isn't that a good sign that the N20 solenoid is working, right?

Dang, just went out to perform the check you described. Very interesting results.
1.Unhooked N2O line and found chunks of rubber in the line and the same type of rubber coming out of the N2O solenoid outlet
2.Hooked up bottle
3.Turned key on
4.Opened bottle valve and N2O shot out the solenoid continuously.
Note that I didn't activate the system. So is it safe to assume that the N20solenoid is shot? Is there anything else I should check out?
If your purge works then most likely your other Nitrous solenoid will work...good sign your bottle pressure isn't too high..
What kind of system do you have? If your nitrous runs constantly with no fuel running, then something is hooked up wrong on your FPSS installation...It is supposed to shut the whole system off if there's no fuel pressure...or if it gets under a set PSI...
If you're running for real and you lose fuel pressure, you engine will get destroyed. Some pics of your installation would help. Call whoever you nitrous manufacturer is, tell them about the rubber...I've never heard of that before..
Also check the article that's been posted...

It's basically the same thing I said, only not as short and sweet.

Had key on but system was not activated and did not trip the wot switch. Just flowed through the solenoid like it was a straight thru path. I really didn't want to pull the solenoid but oh well.
Its a compucar system. I will contact them come Monday. Pretty sure its part of a rubber plunger that came apart don't want to assume though as I am a newbie at this.
newb or not don't feel bad about questions. I'm glad to answer them for you. Please take some pictures and post them up so we can get a better idea of what you're seeing.
There's free image hosting on photobucket.com or if you want to send them to me i'll host them for you on NitrousForum.com
