Possibly a stupid ? but WTF. I'll go for it. O.K. why so many different jet sizes by different companies? Basic formula, a bottle with a valve, nitrous line runs to solenoid, soleniod opens and dispenses nitrous to jet, jet has a certain diameter hole drilled in it. So should all same diameter jets produce the same amount of horsepower no matter what "number" is assigned to it? I have a ZEX dry kit and am looking to just add a 50 HP shot. I'm coming close to the limitations of my tune with a supercharger already in place.(rods the weak point) Problem is, ZEX doesn't advertise a 50 shot. If I use a different brand jet, how da hell do I know what is a 50 shot? Is a 50 shot in NOS brand the same as a 50 shot on NX? or will it give me a 50 shot on ZEX? I know, I know, call ZEX....have you tried that? the dead zone.

Generally speaking, yes they are all the same. If you look at the jet, and it says "30" on it, that means the hole in the jet is .030", or 30/1000"

Some companies believe that the fuel should be this or that...If you look at any other companies jetting chart for a 50 shot, then you should be OK...you may want to run it a little rich just to be on the safe side till you get to the dyno and they confirm you're OK..

I've seen some pretty good results come out of this calculator, and i've seen some posts of people who said they used the calculator and got almost exact results, usually within .001 of what they are using

if all you are wanting is a 50 shot the difference in manufacturers is not important. just get a set for a v8 and go. we will be happy to set you up with few jet sizes to get you where you want to be tune wise. but usually with that small a shot on a supercharger setup such as yours, the cool spray of the nitrous will probably give you a higher hp increase than the actual horsepower rating of the shot size is designated to create.

friend of mine with an 04 cobra put jets for a 50 shot on and got 60 rwhp out of it.

Yep, the very same Sam, I'm in Tampa as well. Coastal dyno, heres the dyno sheet, second dyno run, 5 pm heat and no nitrous....yet.:D

I attended Dead Hookers 1 and plan on dropping in on Dead Hookers 2 as well.

Mods are on hold for now until after the holidays but I would like 550 to 600 RWHP before I stop.
