Hi Guys

Looking for some suggestions on a method of controlling my Nos.

At present I am running an Edelbrock single stage set-up with a 75 shot, the car is a 66 Mustang which I do not want to tub, so I am limited on tire width, and also my choice of tires because of the class I run in. The car is a manual toploader, I am using a WOT switch to control the Nos activation.

If I run any higher amount of Nos on launch I break the tires away, but I could do with a more Nos after I have left the line, so I need some method to bring in more after I have launched, but I granny change:o so I do lift on the throttle. So if I go for a progressive controller will it reset its self every time I come off of full throttle, and start the ramp-up all over again. Or is there another method?

Any suggestions or ideas would be great.

Many Thanks

There are systems that are dual stage, which means stage one is a small shot and stage 2 is a larger shot.

Or you can go with a NOS time based controller such as schnitz

In the UK there's a company called Twisted Sanity (http://www.twistedsanity.co.uk) that makes one as well.

i use the trick performance parts dual stage controller. you don't need a dual stage, s oget the single stag version. it has a gear lockout as well. so, you could come out on motor in first gear. then when you go into second, it will turn it on. that way, you could use a higher shot and not worry about breaking tires loose on the launch.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the info I like the look of the Trick Performance dual stage controller. I take it that I would put a switch on the clutch pedal so it would trip the controller after the second gear change. So the first stage would kick in at WOT, and the second stage would kick in after the gear change into second again when WOT is achived.

Sounds Good

Thanks

No one mentioned a progressive nitrous controller too.

If you're attempting to do a first gear lockout, just put a reverse wired lever switch on your shifter.
