Hey all, as you can see I am new, and I saw this site from ModularFords.com.. looks good

But anyway, I have a couple questions.. I am a little confused here

On NX Install it says:

"Using 18-ga. Blue wire and connectors supplied in the switch kit, connect a HOT lead (12 VDC POSITIVE) to the “Power” terminal of the toggle switch. (Use 5 amp in line fuse if desired). This power source must be controlled by the ignition switch (See wiring Schematic).
3. Connect a grounded wire to the “Ground” terminal
of the toggle.
4. The system is furnished with a universal wide-open throttle switch. This WOT micro-switch is designed to work with the universal mounting bracket. It’s maximum capacity is 10 AMPS and should only be used to activate low amp draw accessories or in conjunction with a relay.
A. Assemble the micro-switch on the mounting bracket using the supplied 3⁄4” 4-40 bolts and nuts. The switch can be mounted in several different configurations, select the position you require and tighten the bolts. Do not over-tighten; the plastic micro switch can be damaged.
B. The mounting bracket is made of easily bendable
material and may be formed to any configuration
that will allow it to place the WOT switch in the proper location.
C. The activation arm on the micro-switch is extra
long. This allows you to twist, bend, or cut it to aid in the ease of installation 5. Attach an 18-ga. jumper wire from the remaining terminal
“ACC” of the toggle switch to one of the terminals on the wide open throttle switch"

I am confused on the bold parts, but let me start off and say I have a NFS Quad Switch panel, but each switch only has 2 ...connectors... to hook wires too.

What is a hot lead (12VDC Positive) Is that just hooked up the blue wire to the battery's positive terminal? Another question is that: doesn't that lead hook to the switch? If so, I still have to ground the switch and then hook up the wire from the WOT Switch to the Arming switch.. but I am out of connectors on the switch.. could I use the WOT Wire and the BLue 12VDC Pos. wire on a same connector making sure they do not touch? And then just have one for a ground???? Please help with that

Then... for the WOT Switch its a max of 10 AMPS, am I supposed to hook it up to a 10 Amp source?? If I am then what the hell do I do

And lastly it says to hook a jumper wire (WTF is that) from the terminal ACC (dont have that on my own panel..) so what is a jumper wire and what do i do with the ACC..

Please help.. i feel like an idiot and getting really aggrivated

Your Lead wire is basically a hot wire that gets power only when your ignition is on. You could run straight from the battery, but you risk activating your nitrous when the engine is not running

Yes the switch is just an interuption. If you did not have the switch, you would have constant power (or a closed circuit). You do not need to ground it. You generally have to ground a switch if it is a lighted switch. When you arm your system, the switch lights up. If you think you can keep in mind that your system is armed, then you don't need to ground it.

Please don't feel bad there are plenty of people around here that are willing to help. Don't hesitate to ask what you think is a stupid question. I would advise you to ask a simple question rather than wonder if you will get slammed, and then go out and blow up your car. This is a friendly place that is here to help you out.

if for some reason you aren't aware, on your wiring harness, you should have 4 different colored wires. Keep this in mind as you're installing:

Black - to battery +
White - ground
Red - To WOT switch
Green - to Solenoids

I am confused on the bold parts, but let me start off and say I have a NFS Quad Switch panel, but each switch only has 2 ...connectors... to hook wires too.

those are just plain power in power out switches.

What is a hot lead (12VDC Positive) Is that just hooked up the blue wire to the battery's positive terminal? Another question is that: doesn't that lead hook to the switch? If so, I still have to ground the switch and then hook up the wire from the WOT Switch to the Arming switch.. but I am out of connectors on the switch.. could I use the WOT Wire and the BLue 12VDC Pos. wire on a same connector making sure they do not touch? no problem. you don't need to ground the switch itself if it's a two prong deal. plain and simple here. switched power source (power only when key is in the on position), to panel switch to WOT switch to noids.

Then... for the WOT Switch its a max of 10 AMPS, am I supposed to hook it up to a 10 Amp source?? If I am then what the hell do I do

no. it just means it can only handle a MAX of 10 amps through it.

And lastly it says to hook a jumper wire (WTF is that) from the terminal ACC (dont have that on my own panel..) so what is a jumper wire and what do i do with the ACC..

Please help.. i feel like an idiot and getting really aggrivated

they are describing a three prong switch. power in, power out, ground. usually, these are lighted switches.

Hey, just a quick question, what are good grounds in the engine bay to use for the wires? And I noticed you have to ground the battery as well?

Any screws that are touching the metal of the body could be considered a ground. Make sure it is a good solid ground too....sometimes Paint can cause a problem with ground wires

Don't worry about the ground on the battery...it's just like every battery in vehicles, there's a + and a -

the - is i already taken care of as soon as you buy your car :)
