to clear things up, does using a plate system on a dual plane manifold cause fuel/nitrous distribution problems?

never did for me. the nitrous plate also acts like an open hole spacer. helps share on both sides.

just make sure the holes in the spraybar are pointed down and not up.

NO, never, dont, stop --- it WILL --- if not now, later, go boom.

Back fire, burn to the ground type boom.

why is that? guess i must've been lucky. had a NOS plate on an Edelbrock performer RPM intake on my old 79 z28 years ago.

There are a few things you wanna check with a dual plane intake. Make sure the spray bars are not obstructed by the intakes design. Also the best setup for a dual plane is a "TWIN" style plate system. This type of plate has spray bars on the outer sides of the plate rather then a center or crisscross patern. A great example is the Nitrous Express Gemini Twin plate. The plate come in 2 versions the Stage 6 and the Pro Power. the Stage 6 part # is 60040 and is good for 100-300HP. The Pro Power part# 60540 and is good for 100-500HP. both are standard 4150 carburator flanges, and are available for Dominator flanges as well. :)

Best thing to do is limit the amount of power to about 175hp with a dual lane and a plate. Up to that point you really shouldn't have any prboblems. It may be possible to go higher by changeing plate designs but the chances of problems goes up.

Hi

I have been running an Edelbrock performer RPM manifold with a Edelbrock Nos kit for the pass 2 seasons with a 125 shot with no problems.

I ran a Weind Stealth dual plane that was ported and the center divider milled down and polished to a razor sharp edge.I ran 250 hp thru it on a edelbrock plate and never had issues.First time I popped a gasket and gutted a plug was after putting on a victor jr.It happened on the first nitrous pass.Kinda wish I did'nt sell the weind.
