yep i graduated from there on the 21st of may but im not sure if they graduated or not but im pretty sure i know the kid in the picture

wow, that type of thing doesn't happen everyday, be lucky you only vaguly (sp?) knew them. how big was your class? I had over 700 so I hardly knew anybody but if your's was under 400 or so then you are even luckier you didn't know them personally.

our graduating class was around 330 and the sad thing is this doesnt surprise me cause garbage can fires, gang related fights, and broken into and stolen cars werent uncommon

well, the worst thing that happened at my HS was one of my friends (yes, I knew this guy pretty good) committed suicide... Joel, 17 years old. The school understandably canceled school for the rest of the week (3 days), this was the first person that I personally knew basides my 82 year old grand parent who had died. That 5-day weekend was one of the hardest times I have ever had. Anyway, this is something that you will always remember, Just be thankful that you didn't get involved with that group of people. Choose your future friends carefully now that you know more about who NOT to hang out with. Sorry to sound like a lecture, I'm sure you already have realized all of this but I juat hate seeing these kinds of things happen to good people.

I only takes one crazed person with a gun and I don't care how much parenting there was in the household it will happen. Some people that come from good families still commit crimes. Schools need to be protected no matter what the cost is. Children should feel safe at school. Parents should be able to send their children to school and not worry if they will come home alive!!!

parent's need to teach there children that you don't solve your piss ass little problem's with a gun!! no it's a whole lot easer to just pack them off to school and go to your 9 to 5 than it is to teach them right from wrong, and don't tell me " at any cost" you pay for it!! I've got five kid's of my own and three of them are though with high school and two in collage now the 4th is on his way, I pay enough in TAX's for those spinless ass's who run the school system now!! wake up!! or just turn the other way and mind your own bizz. and hope someone else will do it for you!!

Read my last post again!!!! You can blame the parenting all you want to but the bottom line is that many of these kids even with the best upbringing still commit violent crimes. I would hate to think that a child of mine lost his life in a school shooting because "we" did not want to spend the money to make the schools safe!!! Most kids are good but it only takes 1 or 2 maniac's to kill them. End of rant

I'm with hammered on this one. Todays society is a "blame the system, blame the gov't , blame someone" nobody is willing to take responsibility for their own actions anymore. When I was younger I wasn't afraid of the police, I wasn't afraid of acting up in school and getting in trouble with the principal. I was afraid of one thing....IF I GOT OUTTA LINE THE OLD MAN WOULD KICK MY ASS UP ONE SIDE OF THE HOUSE AND DOWN THE OTHER. Discipline is a function of a fathers love. Without it, you will never learn that you alone are responsible for your actions . I hear what you are saying z, it does only take one "crazed person with a gun". However this isn't the case 95% of the time. It is a case of some punk "thug" whose father was either not there, or too much of ***** to bounce his ass aroud when he got outta line. And who can blame him? Some where along the lines the gov't decided it would be a good idea to prosecute parents who "discipline" their children. AHHHH THE "TIMEOUT GENERATION" ISN'T IT WONDERFUL?

we could sit on our thumbs and wait for parenting to fix this problem but I'm afraid that we will continue bury our children. Now days both parents have to work to make ends meet. Hell some have to work two jobs to pay the bills. It is a different world now than when we were kids. That is fact.

that's a cop out,both of my parent's worked full time job's and still had the time to teach me and my brother and sister right from wrong and how to solve our problem's without a gun, and to take responsablty for our action's!! it's you and people just like you that think you can just throw $$$$ at it and somehow it will solve itself!!! stop drinking the koolaid and open your eye's, take control yourself and stop thinking that the goverment is going to fix it!! they haven't fixed any thing ever!!!

i have to agree with hammered cause both of my parents work and even better before my parents split up a couple of years ago my dad was a truck driver and was only home one weekend a month and i have grown up just fine

It is not about teaching right from wrong, it's about a deranged child deciding to take a weapon to school and end up killing a lot of well behaved children. It's not the 99% of the good kids that is a problem. It the 1% of suicidal nut cases that want to end their life and want to take down others with them. YOU tell me how do we stop them. Keep the status quo and let this stuff continue or say enough is enough and so something about it. Like maybe metal detectors or armed guards. Yes we will Have to BUCK up. what's the deranged "child" doing in that school in the first place!! and WHO is keeping an eye on him when he/she is not in school? there are no sign's that this "child" is having any problem's?, the parent's are to ****ing biz. to pay any attn. to what is going on at home? give me a break we all pay for the action's of a few while the "parent's do nothing! and say " why little Johnnie? never !!! your as bad as the people who rasie these kid's!!! let someone else do it for me I'm too ****in biz. I rasied my FIVE kid's in the ****ing DETROIT school system and they have METAL DET. ARMED GUARD'S, you name it!!! it don't work, they beat the **** out'a the guard's WE need to take the thug's out of the school's and charge the parent/ parent's with failure to rasie that kid in a propper way! why should all of the law abiding people be made to suffer for a few asshole's!!! wake up and quit lisening to the bull**** your being fed !! you want your kid's going to a school that look's and is run more like a prison than a school? not me!! what's a life worth? the punk's and thug's NOT A DIME!!!!
