My friend has a citroen saxo vts, How big shot can he use without blowing up?, nitrous will blow up the engine eventualy some people say 2 years, some say diffrently. 50shot for a 120hp car is reasonable? they say not to go over 75 shot.

Only people with no experience with nitrous say ignorant things like that. As long as you tune it correctly you should see no issues, but there is some prep work involved to making the car stay safe like going one step colder on the spark plugs. a 50 isn't much and truly in my opinion isn't worth the time involved in installing it

For such a little car, 50 is much !!
It will make over 1sec to 60 mph faster ! or even more! , its stock, so 55 is alot and i am asking if it will blow up or not!

if your laughing about a 50 shot, and 100% sure it will not blow up, how much would you put if it was your car?

100. I've got a 2jzge that's getting 100 wet and I've got a nova with prolly 50+ bottles ran thru it 150 shot a 1/4 mile at a time and have no issues with it.

Can't be all that bad

Besides, my 2j is the non-turbo version
kamich56

Thats not possible- 100hp engine that is stock ( you say ) can cope with a 100hp shot on stock interanls !!! 100% power increase, it will blow up after 3 runs !!!
( Shot that is safe ) i garante it will blow if i put 100 shot 100% sure

That's no different than taking a 200 hp 2jz and pushing it to 400 with a turbo. Same cylinder pressure increase, just different method of application of said cylinder pressure increase.

nitrous and turbo, are 2 difrent things- if an engine is made to handle 1500 hp, jou cant put a 700hp shot, read some more on google, big block with all foreged internals, can handle 300 shot , once if it had a turbo it could make 1000+ hp no problem. and nitrous is more dangerous..

It's all in the application. There's guys shooting 2 and 3 kits with 250 on each one. Sometimes 250 outta the hole and another 300 a cpl seconds out. Nitrous isn't more dangerous, only ppl with no experience say that. Just like a turbo, you have to properly prepare for it or bad things will happen.

Nitrous pro mods and nitrous powered top sportsman cars do it every day. Sometimes well over 1k hp worth of laughing gas

An sr swapped s13 with the boost turned up and a 180sx vlsd would be faster than your z and under 10k.

i forgot to tell you - i started with a 75 shot and it was ok , 100 shot and the engine took it hard, if i would run 100 all the time , it would blow up after 3 runs !! i freaked out so i moved back to 75 and you told me it can easily take a 100 shot ! after engine modifications it could take a 100 shot just right.... i did not take it on a 1/4 mile track but it will tun low 12's. I will never listen to anyone again, you nearly made it blow up !!

Did u spray wet or dry? Did u reduce timing accordingly? Did u change to colder plugs? If you did it right, it would have been fine.

Also, explain by what you mean by the engine took it hard.
I sprayed a 120 on my n/a 2jz last night and it didn't do anything but go like stink so your 3.5 liter should handle a properly tuned 100 with no issues.

you didn't take it to the track but you know it will run 12's......how is it that you know this?
your Nissan is a V6 correct? stock ? has 306hp from the factory?
what is the gear ratio of the rear end and what tire are you using?
an extra 100 hp added to this could be quite dangerous if done incorrectly but done correctly wouldn't be any different then 100hp added through any other means.

I'm willing to bet it was done dry, stock plugs and no timing removed and prolly on 87 octane.
kamich56
01-07-2012, 09:46 AM
it was Wet kit , 1 step coldes spark plugs, timing was done properly by a tuning company - it was on 87 octane, as i told you , 2jz is 10 times better than 3.5 L Engine.....

i Know it will run 12's because i used a program that simulates it, i put exact information and it said 12.31 sec . By meaning it was running hard, it was going back and foward as if you would try to start from 2nd gear, it was shaking and all that stuff. 75 shot it was running like stock, no vibrations But very fast acceleration. 75 shot - it has 352 WHP - i been on dyno yesterday.
kamich56

IT IS STOCK- STOCK PISTONS AND EVERYTHING ELSE- just nitrous and computer timing 0-60 in 5 sec flat
