little more info on your set up?
417" (4.125 x 3.90) Man O War block, GRP 6.250 rods, Lunati crank, Kuntz Brodix Track 1X heads, Kuntz 2924 intake, Pro Systems HP1000, Reid glide and a UCC converter. I wanted to run on motor most of the time so the converter is on the loose side. Torque peak was around 7,000 so its a high winding engine. I will probably put a 65 jet in the plate and make a pass in the beginning of the year. I need to run 5.50's with the nitrous to be competitive in the local class I built it for. So far on motor its been 5.91@116 (5.91@116) in the 1/8th at 2940 lbs. It has more left in it .... still short shifting it and haven't played with the timing or carb. I only have 11 runs on the new setup.
Video of one of the runs .... I lifted around the 1000' mark and hit the brakes .... trying to stay out of the 9's

god damn your car is a beast!!! what does it run on the spray!?! also i'm wanting to build a 408 with a 200shot do you have any advice? i'm afraid my exhaust is too small, i have 1 3/4 long tube headers and a 2.5" header back exhaust.

also is your bottle mount custom? i want to mount my bottle exactly where yours is. is it track legal though?

I haven't used the nitrous ... going to give it a go the first half of 2012. I'm still working on the suspension (IC and AS%) trying to get the 60' times down where they should be. I'm looking for 5.50's with a small jet (73 or less) the way the car is setup right now (converter/gear). If I get that I will consider changing the gear/converter and shoot for low 5's.
If you can do it ..... spend the money on a good block and the best heads you can afford. Don't cut any corners on the fuel system either. I'm sure the exhaust (2.5" cat back) will hurt you, but it will depend on what you do for heads, cam, intake, etc.
The nitrous bottle bracket is custom (made by jakesz28). Its legal to have it in the car ... just need to vent the relief outside the car.

i'm not huge on 1/8 mile so idk what that equates to in the 1/4 lol. but still nice car. what r u running for suspension in the rear? what control arms, sway bar etc. i'm plannin on running an older factory block FOR NOW. later on i'll get a dart block. i just want to reach 9's for under 30k with a 100% complete car and once the stock engine blows ill build a better one. and another thing is i'm saving money on a block now to afford better cylinder heads. also i'm planning on running afr 225's with nitrous ports or something else idk yet. the cam will be custom roller. hydraulic or roller idk yet i'm still debating on adjusting valves all the time, intake will be a afr single plane composite, or a victor jr or super victor. i would like to make more power off the bottle but i'm really affraid my headers are going to hurt me bad! so idk if i should build a "nitrous engine" or NA engine with some spray for extra hp even if i dont get the amount from the shot i put into it. and also what kind of fuel system do i need for a carb set up? idk much about carb nitrous i know a little more about fuel injection kits.

I haven't ran it all the way through the 1/4. So far I have been 9.49@123 lifting around the 1,000' mark and hitting the brakes .... that's naturally aspirated. Should run high 9.20's on motor based on the current 1/8 mile ET/MPH. After I get the 60' worked out and shift it a little higher it should go 5.80's on motor. A 5.50 1/8th would be around 8.70 in the 1/4. The suspension is UPR with the exception of the lower control arms. They are AutoFab. I used the AutoFab IC brackets so I can play with the IC. I have 2" headers with 4" collectors and bullets on my setup. We used a set of 1 7/8" headers on the dyno and made 804hp with them. The 1 3/4" headers are probably better than you think. I run a A2000 fuel pump on my car. MagnaFuel makes a good pump too. High 9's shouldn't be a problem on motor with AFR 225 heads if you have enough compression and cam. You can easily do it with a streetable setup and nitrous.
Some pictures of the rear suspension and the AutoFab IC brackets.

damn nice set up! why do u have so many pics though lol? i am planning for 11-13:1 compression. and the cam to run it obviously. i'm thinking about going more motor and less nitrous. i might spray it with a 200 shot if i feel brave or something. i'm only going for 600hp at the wheels. all motor i'm hoping for 500-530 and then do however much nitrous i need to break 600.

Yes to both questions. The rear end is also cut down 1 3/4" on each side.
Update on my progress.
I still haven't turned the nitrous on. I'm installing a Racepak Sportsman so I can log O2, FP, DSS, RPM, etc. I need to finish the install before I turn the kit on. I'm going to start with a 65 nitrous and 57 fuel jet with the fuel pressure at 5.5 lbs. Made some progress on the suspension and my 60' times. Ran a 1.31 60' 5.86@117 on motor at 2960 lbs after making the IC shorter and increasing the AS%. Still has more left in the 60'.

god damn your 60' times seem great already! i would like to mini tub my car as well to run a 325/50/15 tire but idk if i can run that with stock location lowers and fuel tank. i found a mini tub kit that allows u to use the stock shock locations so i would like to use that sense coil overs are more pricey and i already have drag shocks, springs and control arms. what back spacing do u have on ur wheels? i have some wheels i would like to widen from 8" to 10 or 12 but i know that will give me 2-4" more of back spacing and idk if i'm going to be able to fit the wheels and tires under the car.

My 60' goal right now is a 1.28 on motor. I think I can get there with a little more tweaking on the rear shocks. A 325 will fit without coil overs but its a tight. I have seen a few people do it with offset control arms. The rims on my car are 15x10 with 6" back spacing.

No .... it doesn't see the street. Its been around the neighborhood a few times but that's it.

I have the Launcher set to turn on based on RPM. I'm going to launch with 40% and ramp it to 100% in 1.3 seconds. If it hooks and doesn't try to get on the bumper I will decrease the build time and see what it does.

isnt it safer to use a window switch or a controller than a button? i'm sure when your racing ur usually wot and above 2500 rpm burt i'd still be a little affraid of blowing up my manifold. it seem scool to have it on a button a little fast and the furiousy but still kinda cool.
