Any of you tuners out there have any good recommendations for reading materials related to ECU tuning? Either piggy back or stand alone. I am not talking about sales brochures either. I want the real ****ola. Stuff like the shop dude reads to get certified on the system.

by the way, i just learned some pretty cool stuff reading a 52 page guige to the xede. I could set that thing up (once I learn how) to run a Zero map (lets the car run stock trim say for emissions testing day when I pull off all my crap) set another map bank for 91 octane for the street setup, and another map for 100 octane for the track setup.

cool huh?

MSD is coming out w/ some new hot sh#$ that can piggy back off drive by wire vehicles and.....TUNE IS SELF!!!
It used the cars input sensors and output actuators to correct a gang of things to create max performance or max fuel economy. all u do is install it and tell it what tune u want. It costs $1200-1500.

Do you have the ability to tune with ECU or are you just curious?

Honestly. I was in Barnes and Noble last night, and saw something like the guide to supercharging and turbocharging. I started flipping through it, and holy crap!!! They have every mathematic equation you would ever need for tuning a vehicle. Stuff like intercooler effeciancy, calculating lag etc. Great book.

Some of the best ideas and how-tos come by going to chosen tuner program of choice and check out their dedicated forums. I know HP Tuner has a really good site, and EFI and so on. then you can get an idea of whats possible with each program. As for written material, i have some books jotted down somewhere and will post them when i find the notes. EFI Live COS 5 has something similar to what your talking about, alternative MAPs.
