I bought this http://www.nitrousdirect.com/nitrous/image.php?object_id=1592&image_id=1436.

Its a Cold Fusion Solenoid Style Remote Bottle Opener.

I have heard that it is crap. I havent gotten a chance to install it yet, but is it worth installing?

you may as well give it a try. If you have to un install it because you don't like it, just cut the wires near the bottle opener, and sell it. If you decide to get a newer better one, you just need to hook it up to the wires you cut before. :thumb_yello:

ive never installed it. I'm wondering if it would be worth the install?

I would. I have not found a bottle opener yet that I like. It seems that they tighten themselves more than they can open.

I wish they would make a bottle opener that had like .1 hp on the closing cycle and then .2 hp for the first inch on the opening cycle. so it would look like this as it ran.

Opening
Cycle fully closed.....just open.....mostly open.....fully open
. ............ .2hp .2hp .1hp .1hp .1hp .1hp .1hp .1hp

closing
Cycle fully open.....mostly open.....just open.....fully closed
. ............ .2hp .2hp .1hp .1hp .1hp .1hp .1hp .1hp

Then it would never get stuck in the open or closed position.

uh, oops sorry for hijacking your thread.

I'd install it and give us a full report on how you like it.

There is nothing wrong with those openers they are used by a couple of different companies. They are a low amp continuous duty solenoid. They have a .310 orifice so shouldn't create any major restrictions.
