what is the biggest nitrous shot you would run on a ford 200ci Inline 6(safely) with the stock rotating assembly with a 2brl carb

not a whole lot Justin, now if it was the 300 six you could spray 200 ez, same rod style and piston (4in bore) as 302, and 7main bea.steel crank!!! the 200 is pretty wimpy, that's the one with the intake built right into the head right? how do you get a 2bbl. on it?

yea the 200 is the one with the intake cast into the head and the 200 also has a 7 main bearing crank and forged rods stock and i got the 2brl on via an adapter plate made by clifford performance this one http://www.cliffordperformance.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CP&Product_Code=33&Category_Code=F200

hey , 7main's is good but I don't think you should spray it, 1. I don't know of a plate for the holly duece, 2. there still cast piston's 3.the manifold won't support the spray pattern. 4. this motor evolved from the 170 and they bored it so the cyl.wall's are quite thin. Justin you should start looking for a windsor motor, the mod's for "this" motor are just to many to run the nox, $$$$ would be well spent on a V8, you'll be much happer in the end.

NOS makes a plate for a holley 2brl and i will never put a V8 in my car cause i wanna keep the Inline 6 to be different
and i wasnt looking for a giant shot just somthing like a 75 or 100 wet shot

There shouldn't be any problem putting nitrous on your car. The NOS 05105-H should work. A direct port would be a better choice just for distribution issues but the plate should be ok up to about 75hp or so. I would start out with the 50hp jet just to be safe. I wouldn't worry about the pistons people have been spraying cast pistons for along time.

o.k. then, was'nt e sure what your end game was sorry, best way to make it work is to fog it with a direct port system, that way there will be no restriction's from the 2bll. to 1bll. adapter, and when you get that new head you'll be all set to go, change out the fuel pump the one on the car won't cut it ( a good elec. will w/reg.) get a good after market ing.system, block is still pretty thin(had one) so ya got's ta keep it cool!!, open the ex. and give it a go!! still think you'll need better piston's aren't they 40's old?

i believe the pistons have been replaced before i got the car and i have a dual out header with a 2in exhaust so i think the exhaust is opened up pretty well
i would go direct port but i would have to take almost the entire head apart so i can be sure i get all of the debris from drilling the holes out but that may be a good opportunity to get the head milled some more to get a high CR

if you take your time and use grease on the drill bit and a shop vac while your drilling you should be o.k.,but if you do take it off great, try a steel shim gasket it will help raise C/R a bit, just paint it with copper paint first, and if you mill to much you'll need to check push rod's for proper lenght( it all help's) did you get the hard seat's with those oversized valve's ?back cut? 3angle cut on valve's? you'll need to be on your game to make that little 6 scream, but I'm with ya!!!

yea i had a 3angle valve job, i did get hard seats and i have adjustable rockers so i can adjust them to make up for the difference of the milling
and if you ever see any steel shim head gaskets for a 200 let me know cause they are hard to come by nowadays cause nobody makes them
and i should probably update my sig cause i have changed my future plans and i have swapped a bigger cam in it since i made the sig

try " cometic " they make head gasket's for just about everything, now there not cheap but you can use them more than one time which will make up for the cost, if I remember right that eng. has a shaft mounted rocker assembly, so you have to shim up the whole assembly the same amount you mill off the head( it will keep your valve geometry right) new spring's with that new cam?

nope cause i had rebuilt the motor less than 4000 miles before i swapped cams and i had already put dual springs in when i rebuilt the motor cause i put a decently aggressive cam in when i rebuilt it
and cometic doesnt yet make a gasket for our I6's but they are in the works and i dont have the shim the rockers cause i have these (www.classicinlines.com/proddetail.asp?prod=RAS%2D200%2DRTR) adjustable rockers and i can adjust them out to make up for the difference i know cause i had the head milled when i first rebuilt the motor but i want more now
