my co worker finally got enlighten about the right power adder because it would have been to hard to tell his (bone stock) kia spectra's ECM what boost is.BUT what do you do with a car that is returnless fuel system and no OEM or aftermarket fuel regulator to go with the 50 dry shot kit he wants. do they have special two stage fuel pumps or something or fab something from scratch and risk a little bit of reliability of a brand new car. please help

maybe a wet kit would be easier to install????

lol, thats an odd setup, thats why you should always buy american! anyway, the safest i can think of is to get a stand alone fuel system. get a 1 gal fuel cell and an inline fuel pump with a wet kit. with this you will be able to retain all stock functions of the engine and the rest of the car and the nitrous will be a totally tuneable stand alone system. with differant options of gas (87, 93, 100+ anything he wants), fuel pressure (5-50 psi), etc. this will by far be the safest option for him for minimal added cost of a wet kit. it should be around $100-200 extra.

A lot of cars are going return less. There are options such as through the MAF, tricking the coolant temp sensor, or the fuel pump pulse width (on the fords). But I would say your best bet would be a wet kit since there probably isn’t much info on doing a dry kit on that car. You shouldn't need a stand alone unless the stock pump is just a complete piece of crap.

wow doe'snt anybody ever read the instruction's that come with the kit you just bought? now I can understand if your trying to piece it together and don't have the inst. for your car but you can download them from just about any manafacturer, if it's a dry shot what do you need a fuel pump for? doe'snt the ECM make up the diff. for air/fuel/ratio automaticly? or reprogram the ECM to do it

I think he was referring to the fact that on a return style fuel system you can increase the fuel pressure to get the extra fuel. On returnless you can't do this via the fpr since there isn't one. On the newer Mustangs you can increase the pulse width of the pump by making the computer think it has low fuel pressure this can give you enough fuel for about 150hp of nitrous. SO I think he was asking if there is an aftermarket fuel pump that is capable of running two different pressure setting based on some type of activation such as a nitrous kit. I recommended a wet kit because he may not want to go through the trouble of trying to R&D a dry kit that would work. If it is a MAF car he could try going through that and start out real small like a .020 jet which even if it doesn't add any fuel shouldn't hurt anything. But doing this on a dyno with a wide band could get expensive.

if he can hook to a fuel source, it would be easiest to go wet.
