Finally got the Pro Gas bike out to the track. Went to Fontana, then Infineon the following weekend. Did all motor passes at Fontana to try to sort out the baseline carb, timing, launch/shift rpm settings.

Finally activated the first NOS stage at Infineon last weekend (July 3/4). Results are less than stellar, but I learned a lot about this new motor and my setup. Gained about 0.6 seconds with the first stage with 40/36 jets, for an unimpressive 8.40 run. The bike is a dog leaving the line with a best of 1.22 sixty-foot time. Should be a tenth better.

I didn't bring all the spares I needed to change the setup, so I just kept tweaking it a little each time to try to creep up on the tune-up. I wanted to activate both stages on the final run but I forgot to reconnect the WOT switch on the final pass after some maintenance.

Overall, a couple of good sessions to figure out what this new motor likes. Hopefully things will continue to go in the right direction.

I can only imagine the thrill of that ride!!! How much is your second stage spraying?

Since I don't ride it, I can only image the thrill too. :D

I estimate that stage 1 is about 45 hp with the 40/36 jetting ( 1 fogger nozzle ). I'm starting out real small on stage 2 with an estimated 30 hp, with 20/24 jetting ( 2 fogger nozzles ).

Like I said, I haven't activated stage 2 yet and I still have to tune the jetting and timing for both stages.

Went to Fontana last weekend for more track time. Had some electrical and mechanical problems so we only got 1 full pass under power and ran an unimpressive 8.50 at 151mph. Still not 60 footing well and my wife said it kinda nosed over at half track.

Nice is that a AFR gauge on the bars?
if so what was it when it nosed over

dumb question is the siphon tube removed from the bottle?(i know dumb question right)

No AFR gauge on bars. I do have a WEGO II installed, but I don't trust the AFR readings at all. Tech support kinda duped me when I bought it. Told me it would work ok with my 18 volt batteries. Later I found out that the AFR readings are not reliable at that voltage. So I just use the rpm and analog input data. I do plug readings to determine AFR.

Siphon tubes were removed from the bottles. Not a dumb question at all.

BTW, I think the nosing over may have been caused by ignition timing and sumping. Going back to the track this weekend (Woodburn, OR)...we'll see how it goes.
