hi, i have a NOS sniper kit i will be installing in my car soon but want to run 75 hp jets.
car runs a 460 hp 358 cubic inch V8 with a 4 barrel holley 750hp carb.

if some one has a chart they can put up with different hp jets starting from 50 hp, that would be great.

6psi fuel .032 / N2O .035 = 55hp

6psi fuel .038 / N2O .041 = 76hp

Both are approximates and only for a starting point !!!

thanks for the reply guys.
anyone have a rough idea how much it will gain on the 1/4 mile with a 75hp shot?
car has done a best of 11.79@113mph

just had a look at your times in your profile, you are pretty much running the same times as me at the moment.

i was thinking 11.3's aswell, yes it will be used out of the hole for the entire pass... i have 100hp jets which were supplied with the kit but if i run a 100hp hit my transmission will be about 10hp past what its rated at so not sure what to do... what do you think?

Thats same thing I was thinking ..... jet it for 100 and let her go! :)

I agree with the above...let'er eat :)

I know your tranny builder put a number down for the rating...I'd bet under rated.

I just stepped up on the stall, gears, and a few other "things" that "should" get me low 11's before the spray...Hoping a 10.8 or 9 on the juice...if not 150 shot is just a jet or two away...lol

i rekon it would hold more than u think as long as you dont cook it.

no, not racing till the bottle is in, aiming to be there at the end of the month.
need to pull the fuel tank out to do the fuel system and mount the bottle in the boot, then its all down hill from there.

hi all, i got the sniper system all done and had the engine dyno tuned.

took it to the track on my 235 et street radials and had no traction in first gear, car ran 11.47@116mph.

today we went back with my mates 26x10" slicks and the car loved it... best pass was a 10.97@118mph.

yeah we gave it a 100hp shot. the car loved it, picked up the front left wheel and carried it for about a car length

the list has finished for the perfomance side of things for now.
i really want to fix up the body of the car and re-spray in the same colour (it has a few dents in it from the origional owner)

what car have you got?
next time you see me at calder, come say hi.

yeah, if i do anything i will gas it up to 125 or mabe 150. i have the jets here to do it but will only do it if the bug bites again lol.
i need to sort out a set of my own slicks before i run it again, for now i will just cruise it on the street and run it again in september when the weather warms up a little bit.

i run a 4.33:1 9 inch diff and use a 26 inch tall tyre, cross the line about 7000 rpm

love the lj torana, great little car, i look forward to seeing it out on the track.
