I'm working out the bugs on my 2 stage wet system on my snowmobile (2 stroke). I'm trying to spray 125 hp and keep blowing the o rings in the head. I thought I was stretching the head bolts so I installed ARP studs, but it didn't solve the problem. I'm also running Nano, but I'm leaning towards eliminating it to see if it solves my problem. I'm wondering if the consitent bottle pressure is too much for my motor to handle. Has anyone experienced this issue, and if so were yoou able to solve it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Rodger

Possibly a warped head from the first blown O ring? If you swiched to ARP studs and re-torqued them according to ARP's specs with there moly lube, you really shouldnt have a problem there. Constant bottle pressure shouldnt be an issue with the motor even if you didnt have NANO. Pressure even with nano should be maintained around 950PSI depending on your set up.

Are the O rings OEM quality?
Where you blowing the O rings with out nitrous?

Just a heads up, I know more about nitrous on cars then snowmobiles just figured Id try to help out since no one else posted up.

No o-ring problem until now, and the o-rings are viton from the factory. Thanks for the info.

not a snowmachine guy here...but ..this is a rubber O ring ?
now the car guy's would scrap that and try and get a copper O ring in there with a little high temp sealer (copper).
any chance that could be done ?
a diagram would help see what's going on here also , maybe a factory diagram from a manual ?
Matt.

I'd check the ring land's the next time it's apart if your have this kind'a problem.

how are you controling the timing?
it sounds like the cylinder pressure is up
what is the compression?
what gas are you running?

My o-rings are viton rubber. I have heard of copper o-rings but haven't tried them. I wouldn't know where to look to retro fit them.

Our domes have been cut to lower compresssion. I'm not sure the exact ratio, but I know it's low. We're running c-16 so I know it's not a fuel issue. As far as timing goes, the factory setting is 32 degrees, which iscalibrated for 1000 cc's. Our cylinders our 1200 cc's so it should be should be safe, but I'm not 100 percent.

My motor makes 215 h.p. without nitrous. I', trying to spray 115 h.p. in nitrous which is over 50% increase. Am I being too greedy? I made a best of 4 passes without blowing an o-ring and man, when it ran right it was FUN!!

I heard today that we're running the wrong oil. I've been running a synthetic which I've been told is not compatible with nitrous because it pools on the piston dome causing higher compression. I've heard so many opinions that I dont' know what to do!!!!

Who's the "2 stroke nitrous guru"? that can solve my problem?!?!?!?!

you may need to take the timing back a couple more degrees
the one thing i can tell you about 2 stroke and nitrous is that nitrous likes to detonate easily and oil in the chamber can cause detonate on its own so timming is a good place to start
you wont hert anything by taking timing out of it

c-16 a cross the board is the best
turbo,superchargers,nitrous

oil in the cyl. is alway a bad thing no matter what kind, just more fuel for the nitrous to consume.
synthetic is'nt the problem if the ring seal is good, is does like to find the leak's a whole lot easyer than conventional oil (it's some slick $hit) so....
work on the timming.
