Hello. Im setting up my microedge and was just wondering about setting it up from a roll. I have it all set like i want it from a stop. I have it spraying in 2nd and 3rd gear, 3000rpm-6000rpm. And for file 2 i have it going from a roll starting in 2nd gear but i was wondering... say if i were in 2nd gear and downshifted into first gear would the system activate? and run in only 1st and 2nd gear and not 3rd? and if im in 4th gear would it activate if it downshifts in 3rd and spray in 4th? I would prefer if it didnt activate in 1st after it downshifts because the car aleady spins the tires on a 2 to 1 downshift but i guess that is what the pedal feature is for. I was Just wondering because it only dictates what gear you are in by shifts.

The MicroEdge is pretty smart. It will keep track of what gear your in, once activated. Then there is setting, IIRC, for amount of time before the unit resets. It does get a little confusing, however, if you read real carefully, you can figure out what to set and why and where at for what your doing. Once you understand the parameters, then you will also know if the unit will act the way you want. There are so many setting you can use. Did you see the extra notes I have in the web store under the MicroEdge? IIRC, It was Nick whom came up with these suggestions and tips. They should be right up your alley and will probably give you the insight your looking for. Sorry that I am not more into the roll racing settings, but so far have not used that ability. Someone here likely has and will see the thread shortly?

Hey thanks Robert. Im going to read up on it and try a few things with it. I know this thing has tons of potential. I havnt sprayed it yet. Im going to finish the install this weekend and give it a go if the weather is good. I feel pretty confident with it so far.

yea, it was a little overwhelming to me at first, LOL. But I am the type that wants to understand everything instantly, and with this controller it takes some actual thinking to figure out what each thing can do and how it will relate to another parameter. Once I slowed down a bit and read slowly, I got it figured out for the most part.
