Nitrous Express has some of the best noids and nossle. Stay away from NOS and zex. The zex box is a joke and the nos nozzles suck.
are you running a stock motor?

Elaborate, why does the Zex box suck and why are the NOS nozzles crap? N/X solenoids being the best is open for debate they may have the best warranty but I wouldn't say they are the best quality. Just about all solenoids will be comparable in quality. The Zex box works great for what it is, which is an easy to install self contained setup. It may not be able to scale up to high horsepower numbers but that isn't what it was designed for. The NOS nozzles are far from crap. The nozzle I assume you are referring to is the "B" nozzle which does run into a flow restriction around the area of .040 jets but as a nozzle in a direct port kit it was a very good nozzle. The "soft plumb" or "C" nozzle (the stainless one) goes one better in design than the "B" doesn’t really get restrictive until around a .058-.060 jet which is enough for 150hp. And it atomizes even better than the "B" nozzle. To say that NOS nozzle are crap with out justifying it really isn't helping give people new to this stuff information. Now to say that NOS nozzles were never designed strictly for a single nozzle application would be true and NOS really should design one for that purpose. But on a 4 cyl engine like this thread is about would most likely never get to the limit of either the NOS nozzles or the Zex box.
To address the original question if it were me I would go with a dry kit, but make sure it is a dry kit that uses a pressure bump like the NOS or Edelbrock kits. I would stay away from the ones designed to go in front of the MAF those may work on newer cars with more advanced computers but they never really work as well as they should on older cars. This is why NOS developed the kits that increased fuel pressure in the late 80’s.

I have always said this and it has come under some critsism, however the general rule of thumb is to not use more then 20hp per cylinder for SAFE nitrous use! Now there are some factory motors that are an exception to the rule, example 93^ ford mustangs w/ 5.0l v8, the LS 1,2,and6. But it is fair to say your nissan can safely handle a stage one kit from Nitrous Express at a Horse Power of 75hp, The stage one kit part number is 20923-10, and is a complete single nozzle kit with a 10lb bottle. This system uses the pattented SHARK nozzle ( the best I have seen) and comes with jetting from 35-75hp, this horsepwoer is rated by NX AT THE WHEEL!!!!! I have had much success installing this same system on many sport compact cars with the same results, real rear wheel HP!!! And the system can be jetted for 200HP so the same system can be used for a beginner with a stock engine as well as some one who has changed their engine internals and wants a little more!! It is as simple as changing the jets , no extra parts needed. ( as far as the kit is concerned, up graded fuel pump is reconmended for hp level above 75). The kit goes for $609.84 and is available on my website with FREE SHIPPING!!!!! So if you are considering a nitrous kit PLEASE consider the best available, CHOOSE Nitrous Express, I would be happy to answer any of your question s about nitrous use and systems, feel free to contact me at 631-774-8297 9am-9pm est 7 days a week. My name is TIM.
