hi, just put a cheater kit (150 shot) on my car which alrady runs 11.25.
what should i expect it to run with the spray?
cheers, justin.
There's really no telling until you actually get out there and take a run with and without the nitrous. I've seen guys gain a tenth of a second and i've seen guys gain 2 seconds...it all depends on your set up and your ability to drive and control when and how the nitrous kicks in. There's a learning curve with nitrous..if you punch it too early, chances are you're gonna lose time due to spinning those tires. There's a lot that can happen...so just go for it and learn 1st hand

Your cam's lsa has a bunch to do with it. I have a friend that only picked up .3 with a 125 shot. I picked up over a second with the same size jet. As Nate said, it is dependent on a lot of things.

its got a 109 lsa cam
it has a transbrake and a msd 2 step which turns on the spray when the brake is released. im launching at 5200 rpm. car weighs 3200 lbs. 28x10.5 slicks 4.33 diff gears 3 speed auto, caltracs. 1.50 60 ft aspirated.

in theory .1= 10 hp. along with what others ahve already stated, problem is aerodynamics gets to be quantative at the speeds you are at now.
next thing is nitrous raises the rate at which your motor rpms and ends up being about 500 rpms higher than on motor alone. this may, or may not, be a good thing with your 4.33 gears. to combat this, if it is a problem, would be to either swap gears or go to a 29"tall tire.
back when i had 4.10 gears, it was fine on motor. would go through the traps at 6300 rpms in 3rd (auto) on the 150 shot, i would go have to shift into 4th (OD) about 60ft before the traps. i tried shifting at 6700 rpms to no avail. went to 3.73 gears and picked up 2 mph and was going through the traps in 3rd at 6300 rpms again.
there's just too many variables, in your case, to tell. but, to guess, i would say .7.

well, it turned the tyres passed the 60' marker and was sideways into second. ran 1.51 60', 10.63 @ 125 with the f.p.s.s. cutting the system in and out the whole pass (wrong pressure setting).
6800 rpm throught the traps.
there is definately more in it.

your car sound's like it's right on the $$$$ for that no2 settig, work on the tire's, or change the way you activate the no2 a little bit ,bring down your launch rpm and put no2 on a rpm switch at about 200 rpm after launch, this should pick up 60ft. and slow tire spin, my old set up sound's very much like your's . 383sbc 3440(w/driver) th400, 29"tire, brake, 150 cheater, 4:57 ladder bar's, 8" conv. 11:05et 1:50 60ft. 117mph off no2, 10:29et, 137 60ft 129mph on no2, all shift's at 6800 thru the trap's at 7000, your right there keep it up

slicks are f**ked, a new set should definately help, i just wached the video of the car launching and it was turning the tyres without the gas.
what sort of rpm switch do you recommend? what tyre pressures?
also, im going to a car show (powercruise, sydney. go to http://nsw.powercruise.net/ ) on the weekend and we are going to give it a run on the dyno with and without the n2o, its got a fairly loose converter so im not expecting astonomical rwhp, but it will good to see the comparison.
the enging made 450hp and 440tq on the engine dyno aspirated.
i will post the results.
cheers, justin

any of the Co. make a good switch , I use the MSD, not the window switch and make sure that you still use the micro switch on the carb, so it turn's off when you lift, tire press. will var. to the track for that day, start at about 10# have someone watch for slip(use some white polish on the side wall's) what kind of tranz. and converter is it?

the tire size you run should be fine, there's a lot a stang's out there useing that size with great result's, some realy good shock's would help a LOT, QA1 make's a ton of stuff for your car that'd make it hook right up,

I use and so do a lot of other's that spray a lot the M/T ET street, the side wall is a little thicker from the bead to about half way down, the compound is the same, you can run a little more air pressure, less tire shake at the tree, and they hook just as good as the drag tire (it's a fact) hey and there DOT so you can run them on the street too !!

380rwhp with gas.
300 rwhp aspirated with 6 deg timing backed off.
not too bad!!
