Always good to find a forum that specializes in different things. Glad to see a nitrous forum.
I run a '95 Mustang GT (5.0) 5spd
Home ported stock E7TE heads shaved .020"
Cobra intake
Flowtech longtube headers
small Crane 2031 cam
3.73s
Nitto drag radials
And now for the good stuff:
my nitrous kit started life as a Compucar 810000 kit, but has evolved a bit since.
Compucar bottle is about all thats left from the original kit, but I hand polished it.
NOS Pro shot n2o solenoid, cheater fuel solenoid
NX shark nozzle
Cold Fusion bottle heater
Compucar purge kit
MSD digital window switch
Haven't run much at the track with the nitrous, since I just got the window switch in, and without it the nitrous was killing my launches, blowing the nitto drag radials off like bicycle tires. And it wasn't helping a lot switching it on in 2nd.
Best runs so far:
8.427@83.93mph on motor off a 1.836 60' time
8.09@92.5mph on the 150 shot spraying through first with a 2.0XX 60' time.
Next year I'll have slicks, so those times should drop like a rock.
Welcome to the boards! Sounds like a nice set up and you have some nice times. :thumb_yello:

Welcome to the boards! I went a 10.12 on ported E7's, so you still have a lot left in your combo. Good luck and if I can throw any info your way, I will!

that is definitely some good mph. slicks and some good driving should bring about some 10 sec slips. should be a fun ride!

10.12 is very impressive for E7s. Who did your port work? I'm assuming that was with nitrous, and what shot? What cam was that with (I'd assume a custom grind)? What intake? Details man, I want details! :D

I did the port work myself, it is quite extensive and I used 1.9" intake and 1.6" exhaust valves. The cam is a stock 5.0 camshaft. The shortblock was all prepped, machined and assembled by myself as well. It has flat top pistons, forged steel rods, forged steel crankshaft and an FRPP sportsman block with a girdle to hold it together.
The shot was with a .092 jet, but this year my best was a .32 and it was with a .082 jet. I know the car will go faster, but I am still working on the tune and some other things. I use a TFS street heat intake, 70mm Race throttle body, 80mm mass air, 42 lb injectors(replacing with larger this year) and a fuel system. I run the shot dry, is the reason for the larger fuel injectors. The car is a 5 speed and has a good chassis after 3 years of testing different setups until I found the right one.

Very cool stuff. Just for the sake of comparisons, what does it run in the 1/8, and what does it run N/A (if you ever ran it N/A, that is :))
I'm still running the stock valves for now. Can you go into some detail on the port work done? I under stand if you want to keep it under wraps.

Well, all motor the best so far is an 11.89, but usual et's are 12.0's. Exhaust flows 191 @ .500 lift. The intake flows 220 @ .500 lift. Exhaust increases flow with lift, intake is done at .550. The heads were designed to work well with a .500 lift or lower cam, because I intended to use them with a stock cam. As far as detail, there was a lot of metal on the floor after I was done with them ;). I am working on getting sets to sell, but it's on a back burner for now. I will do my best to answer any questions you have.
