I've had nitrous for about a month now, went to the track last Friday. After a horrible first pass, 15.4 at 95, my second pass was a full second quicker and 8mph faster. There was a ton of cars there and I was ready to go home since it was late, but my buddy wanted to race one more time, my 3rd and final pass got me a 14.15 at 103mph. This car only has gears, exhaust, and spray. I sprayed a 100 shot all 3 passes. I had a freaking blast though, theres five more Friday night races, I still wanna get the 150 jets in before the end of the season, and maybe some DR's so I can actually launch, I need to get a helmet first though...

Not you man, I was asking about the guy running 15 and 14sec quarters.
Sounds like a non PI 96-98 GT, if I had to guess. Keep workin' on the car, OP. Sounds like you had fun!

its about time for a PI swap man that will really drop those times because unless your at a really high elevation those times are really sad man. my 94GT runs 14.5s with only an SLP LM1 catback and O/R H-pipe and 315 street tires outback

my bro was running a 14.6 @95 with gears and exhaust on a '96 gt, so try getting that 60' time down. 103mph is good for 13.0's or even 12's if you get a decent 60'. PI doesnt seem to make much difference until your boosted

What is a PI?
from 1996-98 the mustang used what is now called a non-pi motor(PI standing for performance improved). from 1999-04 they improved the head, cam, and intake design for better performance and this is why alot of the 96-98 guys swap to PI heads, cams, and intake.
also the PI upgrade was good for about 40hp in just stock form form 98 to 99 in the mustangs so swaping heads(maybe even aftermarket ones) and cams(plenty of great aftermarket cam profiles) should be good for quite a bit more than 40hp.
