Well this may be the dumbest nobbie question ever. Let me start by introducing myself. I am from utah and drive a 97 honda prelude. It has a full engine build, sleeved, pistons, rods, about 10.1 compresion, head studs, skunk2 stage 2 cams valves springs and a hondata fuel managment. I have bought a used nitrous kit on the internet (might have been a bad idiea) for about 400 bucks. It was supposed to be a nos kit but I am finding a couple differant parts in it.

Now for the question the bottle is a nx brand and has been painted black. If I am not mistaken the bottle has a sifon tube in it and must be installed so that it will be sucking nitrous in it when I am exallerating. So how do I know which way to install the bottle.

Sorry propably a really dumb question but I hope to learn a lot on this sight so any help would be great. thank you

Most nitrous companies will put it so that when the label and/or gauge port is facing straight up, the siphon tube is bent down to the bottom.

If they took the label off to paint the bottle, then chances are they didn't put it back on correct. you'll know it's correct simply by facing the gauge port straight up. You can also just stand the bottle straight up and that'll work too.

The only way to know for sure is to take the valve off and have a look for yourself.

assuming no one messed with the bottle valve siphon tube. the pick up is in the same direction as the nipple to connect the line. most every company does this. ny-trex is the only one that i know of that orients theirs 90* from the line nipple. they do it so you can see the pressure gauge.

Like they said, point it so the line goes straight down from the bottle at about a 30 degree angle, do you have brackets with it already?

I did get two brackets in the box I am going to try to sort out the wire mess this weekend and see how far I can get on installing it, so I am sure that I will have more questions for you guys. What would you all recomend for a safe shot of nitrous on my motor with pump gas (91 octane). Thanks for the help.

all right with the good weather here I am ready to get started putting in the nos system so I have another question. I got a good deal on a skunk 2 intake mainifold it has bungs to mount the nos injecter but they are on the bottom of the runners. I though I heard somewhere not to mount the nozzoles upsidedown under the intake runners is that right or am i safe mounting them upside down?

yes you can mount them upside down, but alway's keep the noid's above the nozzle's (keep's fuel from migrating back into the sol.it's bad for the nos sol.seal )
