will the nano kit work even if the bottle pressure is to high? will it lower bottle pressure or just raise it?

Yes it will still work but if your bottle pressure is too high you will need to purge some pressure off or your tune up may go lean. The nano regulators are preset to 1050 psi and as long as your bottle temp stays below 85 deg your good to go. The kit comes with a bottle temp decal and you need to keep it below 85 deg. or the nitrous pressure takes over. I'm going to keep some gel packs with me to keep my bottles cool as my bottles are mounted under a black bed cover of a truck. Seems weird to talk about keeping bottles cool instead of heating them. I bought the nano evil twin and I cant wait to use it. Good luck.

How long does a 15 pound bottle usually last with a nano 4500 kit?

That depends totally on your tune up. But with the nano you can use 99% of your bottles contents. FJO racing also makes a killer multi function led nitrous pressurre guage that when calibrated actually tells you how much volume is left in your bottle. It can also monitor afr, boost ,oil press.,water temp just by scrolling the menu button. What brand of nitrous kit are you running? I'm partial to Nitrous Express. But there all good. I don't know the formula but i'm sure that if you find out how many lbs. per hr. your current tune up flows per hour it would be easy to figure out how long a 15lb. bottle would last.

Mitch,
Actually they are legal in quite a few places. But the truth of the matter is no one has really seen the benifits of all the added BS that goes along with them. Your correct, On paper they look great ?? But we don't race paper every weekend do we ??? LOL SJ

An .057N jet only passes enough for about 100hp, roughly 400 lbs/hr of nitrous. He never said how fast the car was, but if you assumed a 10 second car, using 1lb per pass, the math would come out about right for 8 passes and a couple dyno pulls. If the car is faster than 10s, the claim is believable. That is the supposed advantage on the NANO system, it allows you to use every bit of available nitrous in the bottle, by maintaining a constant pressure, where as a standard system starts slowing you down once the bottle gets about half empty, because of pressure drop and nothing forcing the nitrous out. The system seems viable on smaller tunes, for multiple passes on one bottle, but for people with big tune ups, who swap cans every round, I fail to see an advantage. We will be doing some testing on one of these systems in a couple weeks.

What Monte hadn't relized at the time of the above quote was and is the fact that even a car that uses one bottle per run has bottle PSI drop every run. NANO does and will correct this issue. No matter the size hit or how much n2o used, the PSI will be the same at the end of the as it was at the beginiing. 20/25% increase in the power on the big end and no more tune falling off either.

It's just like this forum, lol. The guys talking negative are the ones whom never have tried it, lol. The vast majority of the guys 97% that use it talk positive and claim great results, like in the link provided below. Again, Steve has yet to see the true benift of the NANO technology, but he will one day.
