hey i have a 5.0 t bird i just made the bottom bulletproof. and now its income tax time so ill have enough for another power adder. i already have spray 75 shot. but i dont know if i should go in the bag of pills or turbo or blower. i just want to know some reason why nitrous is better than the other power adders

I always liked nitrous over other power adders. There is less hasstle with the setup of a nitrous car versus a turbo or blower car. Alot less time is required to keep the car in tune with the weather, turbo or blower cars have a habbit of running very warm in the summer time. The temp and quality of the air effects the amount of boost your car registers (hotter the air the less dense therefor the psi drops slightly) which could make you have to go back to the laptop to re configure your fuel curve for the drop or spend time turning up the boost and rechecking the fuel curve. Now the weather effects are cars normally but the nitrous is very cold, allowing the "shot" or hp level, to be accurate regardless of the outside temp. If you built the lower half with some nice forged internals, bump the shot! Just remember to use race fuel for hp levels above 150 and retard the timing 2 degrees for every 50hp over a 100.

Also besides the price being a third the cost of a turbo setup you can take it out of the car and put it in your next car and so on.
There are benifits of a turbo or supercharger being that the power is there all the time you don't have to refill a bottle, but then again how often do you really get on it.. I know in daily driving around here in R.I. theres just to many cars on the road to get on it. My brother drives a SRT-4 and he always complains that he can never really get on it, only for a second then he has to let off it.

well me personally i would get a turbo setup and then throw your existing nitrous at it after the intercooler

I would upgrade to a directport and use a progressive controller to ease the shot in. and as long as the tires can handle it follow this simple "Nitrous Forum Saying" PILL IT TILL YA KILL IT!!!!!!!!! enjoy!:wiggle: :drive1:

THERE REALLY ARE MANY WAYS TO LOOK AT THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SPRAY VS. BLOWN. THE FIRST ADVANTAGE YOU HAVE IS THE WEIGHT SAVINGS. THERE IS A TON WEIGHT TO BE SAVED WITH A SPRAYED SETUP OVER A BLOWN APPLICATION ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS TIME TO GO WITH AN INTERCOOLER. THE BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE WITH SPRAY IS REFILLING THE BOTTLE. A SMALL PRICE TO PAY TO GO A LITTLE FASTER THAN THE GUY WITH A COMPARABLE BLOWN SETUP. PLUS IT IS EASIER TO CHANGE A PILL THAN PULLEY. BUT IS ALSO PRETTY EASY TO TURN THE SCREW ON THE BLOW-OFF VALVE. HOWEVER THE INITIAL COST OF QUALITY SPRAY SETUP IS TREMENDOUSLY LOWER THAN EITHER TURBO OR SUPERCHARGER. FOOD FOR THOUGHT! :mf_swordfight:
