Hej guys,
I bought a coldfusion nitrous system.
Viewed all the instruction video's about how to wire things up. But there is a question I can't figure out
I don't want to use the Wide Open Throttle Switch to activate my nitrous. I just want to have a button on my steeringwheel to activate it whenever I want.
This is the wiring diagram I received
http://www.coldfusionnitrous.com/wet_kit_inst.aspx
How should I change this diagram?
Thanks a lot !!

just make it your push button(micro switch), it just ground's the relay so it all work's together, run the wire from that pole on the relay to where ever you would like the button and ground the other pole of the button just like the micro switch is wired.
not sure I like that way but it's your ride, just dont use it under 3K.

Oke, so just 1 wire from pin 85 to my push button, and one grounded??
or should it be
1) 85 -- relax -- button
2) 85---button

2. just sub. a button where it show's a micro switch, you already have the relay.

Thank you very much...
Does the button need a ground as well or is that just something for the switch?

the switch (button) will be the ground just like the dia. show's, one wire from 85 to the switch (button) one wire from the other side on the switch (button) to ground, pressing the button will ground the rely and activate the system.

Oke, after a while I hooked it all up.
Except for the activation wires
I now have 2 buttons on my steeringwheel. Want to use one for purge and the other to activate the nitrous.
But I'm afraid that the hub will eventally cut my wires because of all the turning of my steeringwheel.
When this happens i'm in trouble because there is a 12v on the wire and the hub is a ground
How do you guys do this?

most guy's that do it this way use the phone cord style wire on their wheel.

Yeah I have a spiral wire on the wheel for the trans brake switch. I also wanted push button nitrous activation, but I just hooked up the WOT switch and installed a pushbutton switch inline. Then mounted it on the shifter. That WOT switch is just a little more piece of mind. Becareful w/out it.

what kind of r/t have been getting with the t/b button on the wheel?
been told that you can get better r/t with button somewhere else ( dash, console. ect.) let your hand "fall away" so to speak. work's pretty good for me.

***SIGH*** LOL sadly I never got to try any R/T's w/ that trans :) . I have heard alot of the same thing though, better rt's w/ the button off the wheel.
I did use it a few times testing on the street(my neighbors love me), the button is mounted right inline w/ where my thumb lays on the wheel though, so it felt natural.

YEARS!! LOL I know what ya mean though about the broken part. It's a cable stretching mofugger. Not to mention the cheap threads that hold on the handle break off on those really adrenaline filled upshifts. I have a couple of back-ups, and have replaced the handle 5 or 6 times :). Some day I'll be able to afford a nice shifter :) .
