ok, my first post on here.. Thought I'd share my install too. I experimented a little with the nozzle placement. Cold Fusion suggested putting it in the filter element (traces of that can still be seen on the side of the filter) however it was sloppy and (as it turned out) not as efficient. The dual nozzle dry hit spraying directly at the MAF hit much harder and better AF.

Was checking out your install. It appears your bottle is side ways as oppose to facing the front of the car, so how or what did you do to ensure proper nitrous pickup? I ask because NX requires the bottle to face the front of the car for proper nitrous pickup/flow.

Thanks

It doesn't need to be mounted front to back. The siphon tubes have a bend in them that puts the bottom of the siphon tube near the corner of the bottle. So mounting the bottle side ways may decrease the amount of nitrous you are able to get out of a bottle slightly. In reality though by the time it gets that low you will probably have a hard time maintaining any sort of bottle pressure. I ran a 15lb bottle side ways in my Camaro for a long time with no problems. A lot of racers run the bottles standing up with out problems. So while it may be ideal to run it front to back it isn't going to make or break your setup. The only thing you would really not want to do is mount it with the valve facing the back of the car as this could cause the liquid to be drawn away from the siphon tube under acceleration.

Thanks that's good to know. Are the bends in the tubes standard for all nitrous bottles. I have the NX EFI kit. Would you happen to have a picture of the inside of a bottle or link to one.

True or False. To correctly mount the bottle, if sideways - in my case the valve to the passenger side of the car - is to twist/turn the bottle slightly so that the label of the bottle faces the front of the car that way the siphon tube sits slightly to the back and down(similating as if the bottle was facing forward) and that way gravity pushes the liquid towards the tube and not away from the tube when accelerating.

I ask this because I may be limited to placing the bottle sideways.

Thanks for any help.

Not all the bends are the same they should all end up putting the siphon tube in the same place though.

Yes idealy you would mount the bottle the way you described but again it is not super critical that it is. You could also position the label straight up and it would run fine.
