I am getting ready to install my 2 stage nitrous system from my Hemi 04 truck to my SSTB LS2. I already have my wide-band A/F gauge on my SSTB & CAI also tuned with a Diablo tuner. I always run 93 octane & add NX nitrous octane booster before running at the track. I run 75 HP stage one & 100 HP stage two. I also run plugs one step colder gapped at.35 & pull my motor run timing about 5 degree's. On Mustangs & Hemi's I usually try to run motor A/F about 12.7 range & nitrous 12.0 range.
I have never had any issues doing this with nitrous leaving the line at 1050 psi to 1100 psi. I use 2 bottle's with a Y-fitting into a #6 an hose to the front engine area with a canister filter. This is my first Chevy product in a while & it did a stock base-line in the 13's with 1200 miles on it. It now also has true duals with a X-pipe & dual cut-outs. Any Chevy LS2 guy's out there what has been the wet nitrous A/F you running with? Motor & nitrous. I read some guy's with LS2 engines running 13.1 motor
& 12.5 nitrous?? That seem's a little lean for safety. I always run bottle heaters with a adjustable heaters. I usually do a visual check of my plugs till I am sure I don't have a lean front cylinder with the factory intake & running wet nitrous. Any feed-back from you LS Chevy guy's before I start testing at 3,000 miles. I will also be installing a 160* thermostat to keep det's down. I will look for a cam next spring mild like the Z-220 from SD. LS2 neewbe.
