I'M HAVING A PROBLEM WHEN I ENGAGE THE N2O ON MY ENGINE. I'M RUNNING A 175 SHOT SNIPER SYSTEM ON A 450 HORSE SBC FRESH MOTOR IN FRONT OF A TURBO 350 SHIFTING @ 7000. I TOOK IT TO THE TRACK & IN 6 RUNS GOT THE CAR DIALED IN FROM A 7.9 TO A 6.7 (1/8 MI), WHICH WAS THE LAST RUN OF THE NIGHT. BEFORE I WENT BACK TO THE TRACK THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND I DID THE NORMAL STUFF, CHANGE OIL, ADJUST VALVES, REFILLED BOTTLE,CHANGED PLUGS & JETTED CARB UP 4 SIZES BECAUSE OLD PLUGS WENT FROM GOLDEN BROWN TO WHITE AFTER A NIGHT @ THE TRACK. WENT BACK TO THE TRACK EXPECTING TO TAKE UP WHERE I LEFT OFF BUT THE CAR STARTED BREAKING UP @ 5000 RPM, 2000 RPMS FROM MY SHIFT POINT. I JETTED THE CARB BACK DOWN 4 SIZES & THIS TOOK CARE OF A LOT OF THE BREAK UP & TOOK 5/10THS 0FF THE E/T. I PUT THE OLD PLUGS BACK IN & THIS TOOK CARE OF EVEN MORE OF THE PROBLEM & I GOT DOWN TO 7.2 E/T BUT STILL BREAKING UP. CAR RUNS GREAT WITH OUT THE BOTTLE. GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS:confused:

What was your fuel pressure for the nitrous and what was the bottle pressure. A lot of nitrous problems can be solved by making sure those two things are where they should be.

Fuel Pressure Is Set @ 10 Psi & Bottle Pressure Was @ 1000 Psi

what was the fuel pressure when it was breaking up?
what is your plug gap set at?
what plugs are you using?

Fuel Pressure Is A Steady 10 Psi
Plugs Are Autolite 3924, Gapped @ .030
Research Shows These Are The Same As #24 They,re Just A Longer Reach To Fit The Aftermarket Heads

If you adjusted your valves, then go back and check them...you might have too much load of some compared to others.

I'm Running A Solid Lift & After I Adjust Them I Spin The Motor Several Revolutions & Then Go Back Thru Them Again. But I Did Pull The Covers To Make Sure All Of The Exhaust Valves Were Working & To Check The Valves In General.

The fuel pressure is too high, a Sniper kit and most all NOS plates need about 6psi to perform right. When you set the fuel pressure make sure you are flowing it through the jet you are using in the plate. Setting it any other way will result in an inaccurate fuel pressure.
