This is a dry nitrous setup, .63 nitrous jet, 1100psi bottle pressure. The bottle only had 4lbs so pressure drop was rather quick. Also, the blank spot on the dyno graph is due to not purging so the engine sucked on air and went pig rich so the car got loaded with fuel.
The car is rich on the dyno, but on the street i see almost a point leaner on my wideband.
1st sheet is the motor run then 2nd is obviously nitrous.

ROFL! Nitrous is nitrous. It's an internet fairy tale that a wet nitrous kit makes more power. I bet you if I swapped on a wet kit right now, I would make similar or less power.

Good numbers. How do you have your set up plumbed? Pre or post MAF. I was running a dry kit, but after I put up a +18:1 ARF on the dyno I switched to a wet kit and haven't gotten the same results as the dry kit yet. BTW, is your M1 an auto or dtick? Any track times on this set up?
One other thing, you are getting dangerously close to the limits of your rods and pistons. Be sure your tune is dead on.

Post MAF. It uses the enrichment controller from the 5116 kit to bump fuel pressure. It's a manual transmission and the car last time out went 11.44@119.65 in 1300ft DA air. Car weighs in at a portly 3660lbs.

Yeah I have a SCT Pro Racer Package that I tune the car with. I am very conservative with the tuning. As long as the car doesn't detonate, I will be fine I think.

Nice numbers, so close to 600ft/lb. That little enrichment controller works pretty good I helped some one install the 5116 on a 99 Cobra and that car responded really well to the .063 jet. The only thing I would suggest is trying to keep your bottle pressure below 1050. That is the critical point for nitrous at which point it is no longer a liquid and loses a lot of its density.

Sounds good. Keep it up.

Thats a picture of the enrichment controller if anyone was wondering what it was. It should be able to be used on any ford that uses that fuel pressure sensor.

I will add that I know how it works based on my own datalogging of fuel pressure when its in action.
Anyways, two of the wires wire into series with the fuel pressure rail sensor and the other set of wires are wired into series with the nitrous system activation. Basically, when nitrous system activates, it gives 12 volts to the enrichment controller which in turn starts telling the Ford EEC (car's computer) that fuel pressure is around 15psi. I say around because the value stays within a 1psi window of 15psi. It can read as low as 14psi or as high as 16psi, but basically averages in the 15psi range. In turn, the Ford EEC thinks the engine isn't getting enough fuel so it increases the fuel pump duty cycle (increases fuel flow). Long story short, it tricks the fuel system and the byproduct is increased fuel pressure which equates to more fuel at the injector.
When lifting off the nitrous, I have logged 70psi pressure from the rail before the car's computer can compensate and reduce pressure back to 40psi. I suspect that's the general operating fuel pressure when the nitrous is activated.
As you can see from the dyno graph, the stock fuel system seems to be more than capable of supplying enough fuel for the 150 shot on my mach 1. I think I could probably move up to a 175 shot safely but it's questionable if the stock shortblock will handle much of that.

wow my buddy has a mach 1 and was deciding if he wanted to go supercharged or nitrous, i guess ill share the numbers with him and he might make a quick decision with almost 600 ft/lbs of tq!

wow those are some awesome torque numbers. it still amazes me how those 4v motors make so much torque. nice!

Maybe... I always overlook the dates. I figure there's a reason why someone rekindled an old thread. But most of the time there's not.

I'm still around - don't get around to this board much anymore. I finally blew the motor up back in 2008 with a 200 shot. Best time was on the 150 which was a 11.31@120.71 in really good mineshaft air. The 200 shot just smoked the tires like nothing.
Car now has 03 cobra drivetrain effectively. Built 5.0l stroker motor, 2.3l whipple, cams, full exhaust, etc, and puts down 600 to the tire @ 15psi boost. Car has now gone 10.93@131.6mph (traction limited). Car still has stock suspension so with the added 130lbs on the nose of the car (iron block/air-to-water intercooler), havent been able to 60ft better than 1.69 on ET Streets.
