I turned the turn downs pointed in , just in case. If something lets go I don't want to dump coolant or oil on the tires. Plus w/ the evac system going on I expect some oil to be a problem. I'm thinking I could make em shorter and save a little more weight? :moon: but we'll see how they do. :dunno:

Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside looking at my $400 headers rusting away to a pile of **** in the "No rock salt" florida climate . I'd hate to see em up north.

you know in effect that you've just made the collector's longer, which can effect the torque in the lower rpm range,
now before you weld up that masterpiece you should "tune the collector"
if your not sure how to do that, I will go into great detail fo all to understand.
take the collector extention(without the turn down) and paint a black line down the side of it, make a full pass and watch where the line burn's off, that is where you put the turn down.
also rule's say the turn out's must be to the outside of the car or down.
now let's get back to the price of oil or the pres's popularity rating!!!

Hahaha, They test my mettle over there :) I'll give them that! They may have me on car knowledge(keyword:may), But I'll damn sure fight tooth and nail about politics (even though it is a losing argument):pullhair: . Why wouldn't tech allow 'em pointed in? makes more sense than out. Noise cancellation, and possible oil downs and such. Makes more sense to turn em in to avoid oiling the tires down? I guess I'll turn em down. I know about tuning the collectors, I'm gonna paint a line and let em ride for a while. It will give me something to change in the future , when I have no coin, and nothing left to drill a hole in..lmao!!!!!!

paid $700.00 for my hedman's $300.00 to get them coated, fired it up and that nice shinie finnish was gone!! oh well, and they are now showing sign's of lite rust around the flange's.
fume's it's all about fume's they want it direceted to the out side or down.
I kind'a like it to the outside, when your in the burnout box it blow's all the smoke into the crowd...... kid's love it!!!!!

Well, I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing? While sitting in the car w/ it running, the exhaust shakes my ****ing eardrums! It was cool at first, but it started to hurt. Now I seriously have WICKED FRIGGIN' HEADACHE!!! And that was only pulling it out into the driveway. I can not even imagine the hurt from a full pass? Though I guess the helmet will dampen it somewhat. Tomorrow I will start it up w/ the helmet on to see if that is better. I bet that will help.

now there's another reason for the turn out to go to the out side/down, but realy how much do you think the carpet is slowing you down?
you could alway's use ear plug's but then again, who's going to hear the detenation (if it happen's )
now your going to have to draw the line somewhere, is'nt this suppost to be fun?
I use the foil back pad and an aftermarket carpet (front half only) it relativly quiet. and cooler too. wait till you get out there on a real hot day!!
you'll say WTF!!!!!!!
